Advertising Policy
Element Lookup may use advertising to support the cost of maintaining a large interactive chemistry library, but monetization must not compromise scientific integrity or interfere with learning.
Current advertising status
This plugin release does not insert third-party display-ad units. Element Lookup is being prepared so that advertising, including possible Google AdSense use, can be introduced only after policy, privacy, consent, placement and quality checks are complete.
Editorial independence
Advertisers do not choose scientific values, evidence labels, element rankings, editorial conclusions or source selection. Advertising is not an endorsement of an advertised product or claim.
Protected interactive areas
Ads should not be placed inside or immediately next to high-interaction controls where an accidental click could occur. Protected areas include the periodic-table cockpit and element tiles, search suggestions, selected-element drawer controls, Visual Lab tabs and viewers, sliders, map controls, quiz answers, Compare/Trends selectors, download buttons, navigation controls and the theme toggle.
Preferred placements
When advertising is enabled, preferred locations are normal document-flow positions between substantial educational sections or after a meaningful content block, with clear spacing and visual separation from the learning interface. Advertising should never cover content, shift essential controls off-screen or become more prominent than the publisher content.
Privacy and consent
Ad technology can use cookies or similar storage. Live ad deployment must be coordinated with the Privacy Policy, Cookie & Consent Policy and any required consent-management platform. See Privacy Policy and Cookie & Consent Policy.
