Cookies, local storage & consent

Cookie & Consent Policy

Last updated 14 September 2026 ElementLookup.com

Element Lookup uses browser storage for interface preferences and may use additional cookies or similar technologies if advertising, analytics or security services are enabled.

What Element Lookup currently stores

The Element Lookup interface currently uses browser local storage to remember the light/dark theme preference. Local storage is not the same mechanism as an HTTP cookie, although both are forms of browser-side storage.

Infrastructure cookies

WordPress, hosting, caching, security or content-delivery services may set cookies or use similar mechanisms that are necessary for administration, security, load balancing or reliable website delivery. The exact set can depend on the live hosting configuration and whether you are logged into WordPress.

Advertising and analytics technologies

If Google AdSense, analytics or another optional service is enabled, additional cookies or local storage may be used for functions such as ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, frequency control or personalization. This page and the Privacy Policy should be updated whenever the live technology stack changes.

Consent management

Where consent is legally or contractually required, Element Lookup should present an appropriate consent interface before optional technologies are used. For Google personalized advertising in the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, the live site should use a Google-certified consent management platform that integrates with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, consistent with Google publisher requirements.

Managing storage

You can use your browser settings to review or clear cookies and local storage. If a consent-management interface is enabled, it should also provide a route to review or change applicable privacy choices.
